Release of the FLEdge Project Video

We are thrilled to announce the release of the FLEdge project video, providing a comprehensive summary of our project’s objectives and vision. FLEdge aims to develop a novel hierarchical edge-based flexibility management ecosystem at both building and city levels. This system will utilize a decentralized architecture and a core component known as the Edge-Energy Management (EEM) device. The EEM device will manage energy flexibility automatically and optimally, transforming buildings, neighborhoods, districts, and cities into Positive Energy Districts (PEDs). The video highlights our human-centric approach, ensuring that all operations prioritize the well-being and comfort of residents. By integrating intelligent Decision Support Systems (DSS), the EEM device will optimize energy usage through advanced strategies like load shifting, dimming, pre-heating, and pre-cooling. Additionally, it will support Demand/Response (D/R) commands from upper-level Energy Management Nodes (EMaN), enhancing performance at neighborhood, district, and city levels towards achieving smart and green cities. DUT Call 2022 Projects Kick-off Event April 11-12, 2024

We are pleased to share that our partners from GATE and CHALMER participated in the DUT Call 2022 Projects Kick-off Event held in Brussels on April 11-12, 2024. This event, organized by DUT, brought together all projects funded in the DUT Call 2022, along with representatives from national funding agencies and experts from the European Commission. The kick-off event provided a valuable opportunity for project partners to meet and establish a strong community from the start. The program included a mix of presentations, group discussions, and workshops, aiming for high levels of interaction. The DUT team shared essential information on formal requirements and program activities for the next three years, responding to questions from the projects. The event successfully introduced project partners to the DUT Partnership and activities, informed about program requirements and planned support activities, and provided a platform for projects to share information, engage in strategic discussions, and identify areas for cooperation. Additionally, coaching and training sessions were offered to support the projects’ success. While our partners from GATE and CHALMER attended the event physically in Brussels, all other partners joined remotely. This hybrid format ensured that all activities were accessible, fostering inclusive participation and collaboration. The DUT Call 2022 Projects Kick-off Event marked the beginning of an exciting journey, setting the stage for fruitful collaborations and impactful projects in the coming years.
